Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your account: your email address and the name you give us. If you sign in with Google, we also get your name and photo from Google. If you add a password, it's stored securely and nobody at MovieRush can read it.
• What you do on MovieRush: your Watchlist, what you watch and how far, the films you open, your Rush Mode answers, the clips you like, the films you hide, and your settings.
• If you download a film: the film is saved on your phone, not on our servers. We don't see what you watch from a download until you're back online.
• If you report a film: the film, your message and the email address you give us.
• The basics any website gets: your device and browser type and your IP address. We also keep a small sign-in cookie, and some settings on your device, such as your theme and Data Saver.

How we use it

• To sign you in, remember your Watchlist and where you stopped, and keep MovieRush working and secure.
• To suggest films you might like ("For you"), using only your own activity on MovieRush.
• To count how MovieRush is used, so we know what to improve. These counts don't show who did what.
• To look into reports about films.

Who we share it with

We use companies that help us run MovieRush: hosting, storing data, delivering video, sending sign-in emails, signing in with Google, security checks, and film information and pictures. They only get what they need to do that job. Some of them may be outside Ghana. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We may share it if the law requires.

Your choices

• Pause watch history in Settings: what you watch and open stops being saved and used for suggestions.
• Clear history in Settings erases your watching, opens, Rush answers and hidden films.
• Hide a suggestion with Not for me, and bring it back from Settings.
• Delete your account in Settings. We then delete your personal information, apart from anything the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it, and you can object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account, or as long as we need it to look into a report.

Children

MovieRush isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
